Liquid Nitrogen

We use liquid nitrogen to treat a range of conditions, from warts to AKs, quickly freezing the target tissue.

Electrodesiccation and curettage (ED&C) is sometimes used to treat basal and squamous cell cancers. The procedure consits of repeatedly burning and then removing layers of skin, until all cancer has been removed. An ED&C is not invasive: they do not require stitches.

Mohs Micrographic Surgery is a surgical procedure for the removal of skin cancers such as basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas. Mohs surgery differs from a normal excision in that, rather than cut blindly, the surgical team examines each excised section and continues removing tissue until samples appear cancer-free, indicating that the entire tumor has been removed. Mohs has a very high cure rate and leaves absolutely minimal scarring. We have dedicated a number of surgical suites to performing Mohs, so as to ensure Allure Dermatology can meet your every dermatological need conveniently and comfortably.

We use both topical and oral antibiotics to combat acne and a variety of other ailments. We normally use topical antibiotics for moderate acne, moving to oral antibiotic treatments and isotretinoin therapy in severe cases.

Isotretinoin Therapy

Isotretinoin therapy is our most powerful acne-fighting tool. It is a retinoid, commonly taken orally twice a day. It can permanently cure even severe cases of acne.

We often prescribe biologics for moderate to severe cases of psoriasis. Biologics are based off of proteins and designed to target specific parts of the immune system. Providers at Allure offer these so as to treat every patient with the drug uniquely suited for them.

Chemical Peel

Chemical peels have many uses, both cosmetic and therapeutic. As a therapeutic procedure, chemical peels are used to treat certain forms of acne and areas with many precancerous lesions (aktinic keratosis etc). Cosmetic effects include the removal of fine lines and deep wrinkles, evening of skin tone, and the removal of scars and blemishes.

We vary the intensity of our chemical peels not only between patients, but also across the areas being peeled. We are as gentle as possible, while still ensuring that you get the desired benefits.

Botox is used cosmetically to reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles. It is an OnabotulinumtoxinA injection which paralyzes the underlying tissue. Effects can last up to eight months.
